Media Consumption and Political Participation in Taiwan

This paper analyzes survey data to show the rise of the Internet use and the changing media environment for election and campaign information. And different types of voters tend to use different ways to obtain their political information. Additionally, this paper found that while media consumption is not strongly associated with traditional voting behavior, the use of social media is highly related to non-conventional political participation.
